Providers and Experts:

How do I get paid when my work on a Project is complete?
Payment for services provided on LiveWork is remitted via PayPal. Experts on LiveWork must have a “verified” Premier or Business PayPal account to receive payment.

Upon Client acceptance of a completed task , the LiveWork system will automatically generate an invoice that will appear in the Outstanding Payments module in the Payments section of your LiveWork Account. No action to submit the invoice is required. The invoice will also automatically appear in the Client’s account Pending Payment section for payment.

When an invoice is paid, you will receive a system notification and the paid invoice will be listed in the Payments Received module in the Payments section of your LiveWork Account.

If you have questions regarding the payment of an invoice, please contact the Client directly for information.

What are my tax responsibilities for earnings received for work performed on LiveWork?
The Expert or Provider has the sole responsibility of understanding and adhering to any tax laws for receiving payment for work performed on the LiveWork platform which will depend on applicable local and national tax laws.

For more information regarding tax issues and responsibility please visit the IRS website.

What fees are incurred when using a PayPal account to remit or receive payment for work performed on LiveWork?
PayPal fees are assessed based on the funding type used and the type of account you have. LiveWork is not involved in the assessment, charge or collection of PayPal fees. For information on PayPal account types and fees please visit: PayPal Fees. Generally the recipient of money incurs the appropriate fees.

Additional fees may apply to transactions that are cross border (in different countries and currencies.) For information regarding international transaction fees please visit: PayPal Worldwide and PayPal Blog - New Currencies

What type of PayPal account/setting is required?
In order to receive or send payment on LiveWork via PayPal there are 4 requirements:
1. You require a Premier or Business Account.
2. You require a Verified PayPal Account.
3. You need to set your preferences to allow receiving payments from non-eBay users.
4. You need to have confirmed your email adress on file with PayPal (See "How to confirm email? PayPal FAQ.)

The type of PayPal account required to pay for as well as receive payment on LiveWork is a PayPal Premier or Business account. Personal PayPal accounts will not work and need to be upgraded, which is free. These accounts have additional functionality, higher limits and more flexibility.

If you have an existing personal account, you can easily upgrade without cost from within your PayPal Account screen by clicking the "Upgrade" link. For more details see the PayPal Help, Account Type Help or go to http://paypal.com/

Do I need a "Verified PayPal" account for payment?
Yes. In order to receive payment for work performed on LiveWork you are required to have a "Verified" Premier or Business PayPal account. Payments cannot be processed to Personal or unverified PayPal accounts.

Please see the PayPal Mandatory Account Verification/Configuration documentation for specific steps required to “Verify” your PayPal account.

The status of your PayPal account can be seen on PayPal.com on the "My Account" screen below your name and or upgraded by clicking the "Get Verified" link on your PayPal Account screen on Paypal.com. "Verified" means that you've added a bank account or PayPal credit card to your PayPal account. Please see the PayPal.com FAQ's for details.

To confirm that your Premier or Business PayPal account is “Verified” with LiveWork, log into LiveWork, click the Account link, select the Personal Info tab, click the "Verify Account" link within the Payment Info section. This will redirect you to the PayPal servers for verification to confirm that you have a correctly configured "Verified PayPal" account.

Note: This step only verifies your account and does not submit or transfer any money. For more details on Verified PayPal accounts, please see the PayPal FAQ's.

How should I configure my PayPal account to receive payment?
You need to configure your preferences to allow for payments from non-ebay or unconfirmed emails. To confirm/change this, Log into www.paypal.com, go to the "Profile" link, then "Payment Receiving Preferences".

Change the options for “Block Payments for the items not sold on eBay from U.S. users who do not provide a confirmed address:” to NO.
Also, any other options that might prevent payment. Now this will not block payments from such accounts and as such, should be able to receive payment.
