How do I add Skills to my profile?

To add a Self-Declared professional skill to your profile:
1. Sign-In to LiveWork
2. Select the "My Profile" tab at the top of the page
3. Select the "Skills" tab
4. Click the +Add Skills button at the top right
5. Enter a Skill name
6. Enter the Years of Experience you have related to the skill
7. Enter a self assessment rating from 1 to 10
8. Click the “Add Skill” button to save to profile


How do I find work opportunities?
To find work opportunities on LiveWork:
1. Sign-In to LiveWork
2. Select the "Projects" link at the top of the page or on the homepage
3. Refine your Search using the check boxes on the left
4. A filtered list of available project opportunities will display

Please note: A good tip for getting hired on LiveWork is to carefully review the project information before applying. By reviewing the details of the project you can confirm you are qualified for the project, understand what is required, will agree to work at the rate of pay offered, and are genuinely interested in providing services before applying.


How do I apply to work on a project team?
To apply for a project team on LiveWork:
1. Sign-In to LiveWork
2. Select the "Projects" link at the top of the page or on the homepage
3. Refine your Search using the check boxes on the left
4. A filtered list of available project opportunities will be displayed
5. Review the project details
6. Click the Apply link found at the right of the project description
7. The link will change to reflect Applied and you will receive an email messages confirming your application

Please note: A good tip for getting hired on LiveWork is to carefully review the project information before applying. By reviewing the details of the project you can confirm you are qualified for the project, understand what is required, will agree to work at the rate of pay offered, and are genuinely interested in providing services before applying.


Where can I see which projects I applied to?

In order to see which projects you applied to and their status, in the "My Office" screen, within the "My Projects" panel, click the "Pending" tab. This will list the projects to which you've applied and their status. Alternatively in the "Projects" screen you can filter the projects by "Applied" status.


Tips for getting hired by a Provider?

* The first and best step toward getting hired is to stand out with a complete and professional LiveWork profile. A well-written summary can help boost your chances for getting hired on LiveWork.
* Highlighting related work experience in the Overview section of your LiveWork profile may increase your chances of being hired on LiveWork.
* A variety of certification tests are available free of charge in the Skills section of your LiveWork profile. Completing certification tests will demonstrate and confirm your knowledge and capability.
* Maintaining a good overall feedback score make you a more sought after Project Leader or Expert on LiveWork


What if I'm not hired by a Provider for a specific project?

There are a variety of positive and negative reasons why you may not be hired for a specific project on LiveWork. If you would like clarification, politely contact the person hiring for the project and ask for feedback regarding the issue. Take the opportunity to let Client or Provider know you would like to be considered for future projects.


How do I accept tasks assigned to me?
After you have been accepted to a Project Team, you will receive an InBox message on LiveWork alerting you if tasks have been assigned to you.
1. Navigate to the My Office section of your LiveWork account
2. In the My Project module click the My Tasks link associated with the project.
3. From the My Tasks section Available tab, click the "Accept" link to confirm you will perform a task

Available & Assigned tasks can also be accessed by clicking the My Tasks link located at the bottom right of the Project details page.


How do I commit to slots on a scheduled project?

For a scheduled project the tasks come in the form of time-slots on a schedule. In order to view the available slots on a scheduled project, go the "My Office" screen, in the "My Projects" panel for the given project and click the "scheduler" link. This opens the project schedule, from which you can view the overall schedule and all the available time-slots. To commit to a slot, click the available slot followed by the "Book" button. This will then create a task that can be seen in your "My Tasks" panel or on the project details page for the given slot. NOTE: Experts can only accept slots for the current week, slots for the following week are only available starting on Sunday.


Where do I find tasks that are available for me to accept?
The Client or Provider assigns or makes tasks available to the project team. To review tasks available to you for a specific project, navigate to the My Office section of your LiveWork account, in the My Project module click the My Tasks link associated with the project. There are several types of tasks assignment currently supported on the LiveWork platform.

Direct Assignment - Tasks are directly assigned to you by the project owner. When the owner creates a task and assigns it to you directly, you will receive a notification that it has been assigned to you.
To accept a task directly assigned to you:
1. Navigate to the My Office section of your LiveWork account
2. In the My Project module click the My Tasks link associated with the project.
3. From the My Tasks section Available tab, click the "Accept" link to confirm you will perform a task

Available & Assigned tasks can also be accessed by clicking the My Tasks link located at the bottom right of the Project details page.

Self Assignment - Tasks are created by the project owner and made available to the entire team. When the owner creates the tasks they will be visible to the entire team and can be self-assigned.
To accept a available tasks:
1. Navigate to the My Office section of your LiveWork account
2. In the My Project module click the My Tasks link associated with the project
3. From the My Tasks section Available tab, click the "Accept" link to confirm you will perform a task

Please note: You can only accept 1 task at a given time, once complete you can accept any other available tasks.

Available & Assigned tasks can also be accessed by clicking the My Tasks link located at the bottom right of the Project details page.

Auto Assignment - Tasks are created by the project owner and automatically routed to the next available expert. When the owner creates the tasks, it will be routed to the next available expert. If the task is assigned to you, you will receive a notification that it has been assigned to you.
To accept this task type:
1. Navigate to the My Office section of your LiveWork account
2. In the My Project module click the My Tasks link associated with the project
3. From the My Tasks section Available tab, click the "Accept" link to confirm you will perform a task

Please note: You are only assigned 1 task at a given time, once you complete the task, if there are any additional un-assigned tasks available the next task will automatically be assigned to you for acceptance.

Available & Assigned tasks can also be accessed by clicking the My Tasks link located at the bottom right of the Project details page.

Schedule Assignment - Tasks translate into specific time-slots on a schedule for which the project owner needs work performed. Experts are expected to self-select a time-slot (e.g, 9am-10am) and commit to the given slot. Once you accept a slot, the system will automatically create a task and assign it to you.

To reserve or accept a time-slot on the project calendar, open the scheduler tool by navigating to the My Office screen, select the project under "My Projects" and click on the associated "scheduler" link.

From the scheduler tool, you can select a timeslot/task that is marked available by clicking on the date & time. Click the "Assign" button to assign that slot/task to yourself and accept it. Accepted tasks will appear under the "Current" in the "My Tasks" module linked from the project listed in the My Office>My Projects section or from the Project Details page. Slots/tasks for the following week will only be available for acceptance on Sundays (GMT).


How do I perform work on LiveWork?
When you are accepted to perform work on a project, review all related documentation, forums, wikis and other project related details to ensure you understand the Client's expectations and project requirements. If you have questions, please contact the Client or Provider before accepting a task.

The Client or Provider assigns or makes tasks available to the project team. To review tasks available to you for a specific project, navigate to the My Office section of your LiveWork account, in the My Project module click the My Tasks link associated with the project.

From the My Tasks module:
1. On the Available tab, review the listed tasks and task descriptions
2. Click the "Accept" link to confirm you will perform a task
3. Click the "Start" link to begin a task.
4. When a task's work is complete, provide comments, upload or return your work output as defined by the Client.
5. Click the Mark Complete link to submit the task work for review by the Client

Please note:
Tasks that are available for acceptance are visible on the Available tab in the My Tasks module
Tasks that you have accepted and/or started appear on the Current tab in the My Tasks module
Tasks that you have Marked Complete appear on the Completed tab in the My Tasks module

Available & Assigned tasks can also be accessed by clicking the My Tasks link located at the bottom right of the project details page.


What happens if I reject work assigned to me by a Provider?
If you need to reject work assigned to you, contact the Provider to communicate your reasons for doing so. Applying to provide services on a team indicates you will accept work assigned to you. Rejecting work may have a negative impact on your feedback score and the opportunity to work with the Provider on future projects.


What if I have an issue regarding the completion of work I have accepted?
If you have any issue that will impact your ability to complete work you have accepted, contact the Provider or Client immediately. This includes questions regarding how to perform tasks, potentially missing the deadline to complete a task, etc. Missing deadlines or poorly performing tasks may have a negative impact on your feedback score and the opportunity to work with the Provider or Client on future projects. Projects run on a schedule, good communication is essential.


How do I contact other members of my Project Team or the Provider?
Contact members your project team or Provider by email or instant message though links found on their profile pages. You will find a link to each member’s LiveWork profile listed on the Team tab for the project. You can also find profile pages by entering the LiveWork member’s name in the Search box located at the top right of every LiveWork page. You can also post a message on the Forum page connected to the project.


Where do I find answers to questions regarding a specific Project I'm working on?
Find answers to questions on the project details page, by reviewing documents attached to the project, documents attached to a task assigned to you, through communication with your project teammates or directly contacting the project Provider.


How do I get paid when my work on a Project is complete?
Payment for services provided on LiveWork is remitted via PayPal.

Upon Client acceptance of a completed task , the LiveWork system will automatically generate an invoice that will appear in the Outstanding Payments module of the Payments section in your LiveWork Account. No action to submit the invoice is required. This invoice will also appear in the Client's account Pending Payment section for payment.

When an invoice is paid, you will receive an email notification and the paid invoice will be listed in the Payments Received module in the Payments section of your LiveWork Account.

If you have questions regarding the payment of an invoice, please contact the Client directly for information.


I'm registered as an Expert, how do I change my account work as a Provider?
Registered LiveWork members have the option to apply for projects as a Provider or an Expert. To find work as a Provider, search for "Provider Only" listings in the Projects section on LiveWork. To find work as an Expert, search for"Experts Only" listings in the Projects section on LiveWork. Highlighting related work experience in the Overview section of your LiveWork profile may increase your chances of being hired on LiveWork.


I've been solicited by a LiveWork member to perform work outside the LiveWork platform, what should I do?
If you are solicited via message, email, or chat by a LiveWork member to provide services outside the LiveWork platform, please report the issue to the LiveWork Product Team. Works provided outside the LiveWork platform is not eligible for LiveWork services such as feedback or payment processing.
