Team

Maynard Webb

Maynard Webb
Maynard brings almost 30 years of experience developing and leading high-growth companies to LiveWork. Most recently, he was at eBay where, he served as Chief Operating Officer. At eBay, Maynard directed engineering and technology operations, product development, customer support, trust and safety, global billing, human resources, and legal functions. Prior to eBay, Maynard was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Gateway, Inc. He has also held management and leadership positions at Bay Networks, Quantum Corporation, Thomas-Conrad Corporation and IBM. A respected member of the Silicon Valley technology community, Maynard sits on the boards of several successful companies, including Salesforce.com and Admob. Maynard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University.


Wes Hayden

Wes Hayden
Wes is responsible for the overall business strategy. Wes has extensive BPO and technology experience as the former CEO of Genesys Telecommunications Labs and president of the Enterprise Division at Nuance Communications. Previously Wes held executive and sales management positions at Informix, Sun Microsystems, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Applied Data Research. He holds a B.S. degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.


Jeremy King

Jeremy King
Jeremy is responsible for the growth and success of the Product, Engineering, and Operations teams at LiveWork. Jeremy joined from eBay where he was the leader of the Architecture and Engineering teams responsible for the eBay Trading platform. In his seven years at eBay, Jeremy drove the complete redesign and rebuild of the eBay architecture, site and backend systems. Previously, Jeremy was the CTO of Petopia.com, and held management and technical roles in web development at Bay Networks and SynOptics Communications. Jeremy has a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from San Jose State University.


Bill Slakey

Bill Slakey
Bill brings more than 20 years of experience improving company and financial operations at technology companies both public and private. Bill has served as Chief Financial Officer for Extreme Networks and Handspring, where he helped negotiate the company’s successful merger with Palm Computing. In addition, Bill has served as Chief Financial Officer for successful private companies including SnapTrack and Tropos Networks. Previously, Bill held senior finance and investor relations positions at 3Com, and Apple. Bill holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.


Eckart Walther

Eckart Walther
Eckart joined LiveWork from Yahoo!, where he was head of products for Yahoo! Search and was responsible for Yahoo!'s web, multi-media, and social search products including Yahoo! Answers and Del.icio.us. In previous roles, Eckart served as a key member of the Tellme and Netscape teams, and held positions in artificial intelligence research at Stanford University and GE Corporate Research. Eckart has a Bachelors and Masters degree in computer systems engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, is a co-author of the original RSS and Media RSS standards, and holds 11 patents.


Advisors

Michael Dearing
Michael is a Consulting Associate Professor at Stanford University where he co-developed and co-taught courses including Creating Infectious Action and Creating Mass Market Experiences. Before joining Stanford in 2006, Michael spent nearly seven years at eBay serving most recently as Senior Vice President & General Merchandise Manager for eBay North America. In that role, Michael led category management, product marketing, seller development, eBay Stores, and direct-to-consumer marketing. Prior to eBay, Michael held leadership positions at Bain & Company, Filene's Basement, The Walt Disney Company, and Industrial Shoe Warehouse. Michael holds an AB in Economics from Brown University and an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School.


Tom Koulopoulos
Tom Koulopoulos is the founder of Delphi Group, a 20-year-old Boston-based thought leadership firm providing advice to global 2000 organizations and government. Tom has authored eight books which have been translated into nine languages. His most recent, “The Innovation Zone: How Great Companies Re-innovate for Amazing Success”, is one of the most comprehensive and hard hitting books on the current state of innovation and how it can be leveraged to create a new era of prosperity. He has also served as an adjunct Professor at the Boston College School of Business, Executive Director of the Babson College Center for Business Innovation and Executive Director of the Perot Systems Innovation Lab. Named one of the industry's most influential consultants by InformationWeek magazine, his articles and insights appear frequently in national and international print and broadcast media. His work has been praised by luminaries such as Peter Drucker and Tom Peters.


Chris Long
Chris has deep experience in the health care industry and Business Process Outsourcing. He is currently Senior Vice President, Health Improvement Solutions, at LifeMasters, where he is responsible for directing and managing the company's business delivery operations and leading the implementation and integration of new technology and delivery systems. Previously, Chris was Senior Director of Outsourced Operations at Blue Shield of California. In this role, he drove development, delivery and ongoing management of the Business Process Outsourcing strategy for Blue Shield. Prior to this, Chris served as Director of Business Development for a health care internet startup. Chris also spent seven years consulting to the health care industry assisting clients with strategic planning and business development. Chris is active in the IAOP, serving on its Membership Committee. He is also an IAOP Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP). Business leaders routinely seek Chris out for strategic and tactical guidance on how to best leverage BPO capabilities to maximize value - both from a cost improvement and process improvement perspective.


Atul Vashishta
Atul is a leading proponent and practitioner of globalization and futurizing enterprises. He brings almost two decades of global business expertise to neoIT and NEOGROUP. Atul co-founded neoIT in 1999 with the mission of helping enterprises grow their business and improve operations by capitalizing on services globalization. In 2007, Atul founded NEOGROUP to help companies optimize major programs and governance. Atul’s opinions are valued by media, wall street analysts, and global organizations. He has co-authored “The Offshore Nation,” published by McGraw Hill in 2006 that focused on services globalization. His next book, “The 7 Secrets of Great Globalizers”, is likely to be published by Summer 2009. Prior to neoIT, Atul was at Cardinal Health as SVP of International. He serves on the Boards of IDEA, Center for Services Leadership at Arizona State University, IAOP, Defense Business Board, NEOGROUP and neoIT. Consulting Magazine named Atul as one of the “Top 25 Most Influential Consultants” in 2006 and “Top 6 IT Powerbrokers” in 2004.


Valery Yakubovich
Valery Yakubovich is Associate Professor of Management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He received a Ph.D. in sociology from Stanford University and is an expert on the role of social networks and communities in organizations and markets. His current projects explore performance implications of social networks among employers and employees in virtual job markets. The results of his studies have been published in leading journals in management, organization theory, and sociology, as well as numerous edited volumes.
